Description

Joshua Weitz, M.D. (CEO//clinical director) was born and raised in northern Michigan. He graduated with latin honors from Colby College in Maine. Following college he moved to Rochester, NY where he spent a year at the University of Rochester in the department of Orthopaedics researching the impact of nicotine on fracture healing. During his time in Rochester, he worked closely with Dr Robert Loss, Jr and helped establish an electronic database for Skin Search of Rochester, the clinical research partner of Dermatology Associates of Rochester.

Dr Weitz went on to complete medical school followed by an internal medicine residency at the University at Buffalo.  Following this training, he returned to Rochester for a prestigious dual fellowship in allergy/immunology and rheumatology at the University of Rochester.  He also completed a naturopathic, functional and regenerative medicine fellowship through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and Metabolic Medicine Institute.

He has published in peer review journals and presented to groups of Physicians as well as the public both locally and nationally. He enjoys clinical research and the goal of advancing our understanding of health and wellness.

His primary interests deal with the function, dysfunction and interaction of the immune system with the world around us. He has a passion for CoolSculpting and the miraDry procedure as they make use of a self-limited, natural process (inflammation) to safely augment the immune response in order to achieve beneficial results for the patient.

He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, as well as exploring nature through hiking, skiing, and rock climbing.

Dr Weitz is board-certified in internal medicine, allergy/immunology and anti-aging and regenerative medicine. He is board-eligible in Rheumatology.
