ABAARM Certification - How It Works
The American Board of Anti-Aging / Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) offers Board Certification to individuals with MD or DO degrees.
In order to complete the ABAARM program, an individual must complete 3 Parts.
- Part I is composed of a Written Exam
- Part II is composed of an Oral Exam
*Both parts must be taken on separate dates and at separate venues.
Typically examinees complete both steps within the timeframe of one year.
However, after an examinee successfully completes Part I: Written Exam, they have a total of two years to complete Part II: Oral Exam.
After successfully completing Part II: Oral Exam, the examinee must complete the final part:
- Part III: Submission of Eligibility Requirements: Once an examinee completes Part I and II, the examinee is given 6 months to submit their eligibility requirements to complete their Certification Process.

Step 1:
Purchase a review kit and begin studying for Part I: Written Exam
Step 2:
Successfully complete Part I: Written Exam
- The Written Exam consists of 120 multiple choice questions with a predominant focus on practical knowledge and skills in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, nutritional therapies, pharmaceuticals, endocrinology, neurophysiology, and cancer.
Step 3:
Successfully complete Part II: Oral Exam
- Candidates participate in a live exam interview with 1-2 examiners, during which they are asked to answer one standardized mock case with related clinical questions. Candidates have between 40-60 minutes to discuss their case and provide their answers.
Step 4:
Submit all eligibility requirements and earn Board Certification in Anti-Aging Medicine
