My journey with Functional Medicine began in college, where I studied Biochemistry, Mathematics and Cellular Biology. I worked for several years in chemistry and the pharmaceutical field, but knew I wasn’t fulfilling my purpose. I shifted my course and completed a Masters in Nursing and a Doctorate in Functional Medicine.

Finally, I was working with patients!

However, something still felt “off.”

My Functional Medicine training just didn’t align with the “pill for every ill” culture of modern medicine. I was amazed by the constant advances all around me, but discouraged to learn how little was being done to reverse chronic disease. It was an eye-opening truth: our healthcare system profits on sickness, not wellness. I quickly realized that as long as I was working in traditional medicine, I would not be able to help my patients get healthy.

Determined to offer a better approach to managing chronic disease, I continued my education and founded Health Works Integrative Medicine, my private practice, in 2019.

Through Health Works, I help my patients address the underlying causes of disease, not simply manage the symptoms. I believe Functional Medicine fills that gap in care.

Today, I’m known in my field and among my patients as one of Functional Medicine’s most passionate and enthusiastic advocates and practitioners. Most importantly, I’ve helped transform the health of thousands of patients.
