Today's interview on Redefining Medicine features human performance consultant, biohacker, and immersive journalist Ben Greenfield. Upon becoming involved with tennis and the ‘physical culture’ scene during his youth, Greenfield became dedicated to kinesiology, exercise physiology, and biomechanics: channeling his energy into the fitness and health industry. Once his first job disillusioned him with the modern medical industry, Greenfield launched his business in biohacking and cutting-edge personal training. After being voted “America’s Top Personal Trainer,” he was thrust into the public limelight, and began to lecture, write, host a series of popular podcasts, and design personalized programs for Ironman Triathlons. In this podcast, Greenfield discusses his love for reading and writing—having authored several books, including New York Times bestseller “Beyond Training: Mastering Endurance, Health & Life”—and the importance of gratitude-journaling, in addition to his own daily exercise and nutrition routines.
