Melissa Frazelle, FNP-BC

Melissa Frazelle, FNP-BC, is an Integrative Nurse Practitioner with a background in oncology and internal medicine. She started receiving training in functional medicine in 2014 while getting her master’s degree in nursing in Chicago. Her interest in healing started far before this in 2007 when she found yoga practices as a way to cope with anxiety. She ultimately did yoga teacher training at Kripalu and went on to become an oncology nurse. When she graduated from NP school in 2015 she wanted to get back to preventative medicine. To this day, Melissa works with patients to cultivate a unique approach to patient care, looking at the whole person and trying to be a detective regarding the “root cause” of disease and suffering. She combines a multifaceted approach– not just focusing on physical ailments, but emotional as well. Melissa believes the body does indeed keep the score. She integrates tools for healing from western medicine, eastern medicine, and offers guidance on inner healing from a more embodied and/or spiritual place. Integrating the mind, body, and soul is her goal, as well as allowing patients to live their best life! Her interests include women’s health, anti-aging, hormone therapy, mental health, thyroid disorder, cardiovascular and metabolic disease. She has practiced at the Institute for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern in Chicago (2017-2021) and currently practices at Internal Medicine of Arizona in Phoenix (2021-present). She is working on her A4M board certification, undergoing Reiki training, and is involved in the ACER integration community.
