Karen Mullin, DOM

Karen Mullins is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), licensed as a Primary care provider in NM and NC. Shortly after graduation, however, she found Functional Medicine and never looked back. While she still deeply values the principles behind Asian medicine, she found many more solutions in Functional Medicine's root cause approach and began doing more exploratory lab work on every patient.

Her focus is now on Inflammatory Bowel diseases, having been diagnosed herself at age 15 with Ulcerative Colitis. Karen is the author of "Wake up to the Truth Behind Crohn's Disease"; sponsored by Human Para, a nonprofit organization made up of MD's from around the globe bringing new science to light on IBD. Currently, her work revolves around the riveting new data that has surfaced on UC and oxidative stress. She is on a mission to spread awareness as to the real cause of UC, in order to help those still deeply suffering. Her current collaboration with leading Redox Guru's in the field has become her most fulfilling endeavor yet.
