Julie Helm, IFMCP, APRN-C

Julie D. Helm, NPc, IFMCP is a leading expert and practitioner in Functional Medicine. She graduated both top of her class at Georgetown University where she received her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and in the top quintile for an advanced certification in Functional Medicine from the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also certified in the Bredesen Protocol.

Over the past decade, Julie has worked in family medicine in the state of California and serves as a clinical faculty advisor to California FNP students in Georgetown University’s program.

As the founding practitioner of Integra Health & Wellness, Julie Helm NPc, IFMCP is working diligently to bring effective and progressive care to patients both locally and from areas all over the country. She addresses the biochemical dysfunctions that underscore the root causes of medical diagnoses in order to truly heal her patients.

Functional Medicine has played an integral role in the development of care and practice for Julie. While many professionals identify with Functional Medicine, Julie’s experience and education truly set her apart from the rest.

Functional Medicine is an evidence-based approach to medicine in which the practitioner truly uncovers, understands, and pieces together the root causes of symptoms and illness. Unlike conventional practices (which undoubtedly have a place in our system), Functional Medicine avoids the “band-aid” approach which solely looks at pieces of one’s health and applies temporary and ineffective measures to address illness.
