Joseph C. Maroon, MD, FACS

Dr. Joseph Maroon is Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is the consultant neurosurgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers and 8-time Hawaiian Ironman Championship Triathlete. His research interests include the development of minimally invasive surgical procedures for the brain, orbit and spine; traumatic brain injuries; and diseases related to aging.
