Description

Joseph Eckstein, MSN, BSN, FNP, is originally from Bergen County, New Jersey. Joe received his Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in 1995. Joe later attended Desale's University's FNP program and continued on to get his Master's degree in 2007, specializing in Family Medicine. Prior he attended Penn State University, majoring in Meteorology.  


Joe has always had a keen interest in natural and functional medicine modalities from early on in his career. A self-proclaimed “tree hugger”, Joe has always sought to provide the highest level of medical care by implementing individualized treatment plans guided by his scientific, ethical and functional philosophies. This approach has helped earn him trust and cohesiveness with not only his patients but fellow professional colleagues alike.


Joe's interest in natural medical modalities lead him down the path of pursuing Functional and Integrative Medicine. He is currently working towards his board certification in Functional Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). He has a particular interest in hormone management, chronic inflammation and gut health disorders. He currently manages women and men with a particular focus on obtaining hormonal balance.


An active member of the local ice hockey community, Joe is former President of the Emmaus High School Ice Hockey program and served as a coach for 10 years. Joe’s biggest accomplishment is his 22-year-old son Joe Jr. who is an aspiring and published Journalist. Aside from ice hockey Joe enjoys mountain biking, weight training,  basketball, golf, art and music.
