Dr. Yap combines her knowledge of traditional medicine with alternative therapies to provide patients with comprehensive solutions to their health problems.

Working to partner with each patient, Dr. Yap develops customized solutions that target underlying conditions and provides solutions that offer long-term health and wellness.

Using non-invasive and evidence-based therapies, Dr. Yap has helped vast numbers of patients to safely and effectively heal their ailments. Taking an individualized approach to patient care, Dr. Yap understands that because no two patients are alike, no two treatment protocols should be the same.

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Wake County NC Bioidentical Hormone Doctor, Jennifer Yap, D.O. is a board certified physician with additional training in Anti-aging, Nutrition and Aesthetics.

She finished her undergraduate studies at Smith College in Northampton, MA, and soon after completed a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University in New York focusing on wellness and prevention.

She felt that a significant source of disease in the US was obesity and improper diet and then went on to Columbia University’s Institute of Human Nutrition Graduate School to understand how to tackle this issue.

Inspired to treat people on an individual basis, she decided to pursue medical school at University of New England so that she could take a holistic approach to medicine. She finished her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and uses her knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and combines it with her passion for nutrition, hormones and prevention to do age-management medicine. She focuses on weight management, hormone balance, movement and proper supplementation.
