  Israel Vega is the founder of VHC Family Health & Night Clinic. Dr. Vega specializes in family medicine along with Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement.

  Dr. Israel Vega is well-known in the community for providing excellent and detailed care to his patients. He is fluent in both English and Spanish which is a huge asset in the largely hispanic community of San Benito. Dr. Israel Vega DNP, FNP-BC is a board certified family nurse practitioner and has been serving the lower Rio Grande Valley for the past 8 years. A proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Vega grew up in Los Fresnos and presently resides in Harlingen, Texas.

  Dr. Vega serves his patients at Valley House Calls Family Health & Night Clinic located at 2395 La Palma St. Ste. I in San Benito, Texas. A former Adjunct Faculty for the Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi NP program, Dr. Vega currently serves as clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner Student Residents in the Rio Grande Valley.

  Dr. Vega is a classic car enthusiast and in his spare time enjoys the company of other avid collectors. You can also catch him serving up aces at the local tennis courts. He devotes a great amount of time volunteering for local causes that help RGV residents. Currently, Dr. Vega is completing a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine with emphasis on hormone replacement therapy, functional medicine, diabetes, thyroid disorders, chronic fatigue and metabolic disorders.

  Dr. Vega received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Texas – Brownsville. He pursued his Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A & M Corpus Christi while working as a registered nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center – Dr Vega earned his Doctorate Degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Dr. Vega has garnered a “5 stars” rating from a national accredited EHR that reflected over 200 patient surveys.

  Dr. Vega is humbled and very thankful to his patients for voting him “2014 Best Family Practice Doctor”. He looks forward to serving new and familiar faces at VHC Family Health & Night Clinic.
