I am a board-certified family physician at Renew Total Body Wellness center in Decatur, Illinois. I specialize in helping patients restore and enhance the quality of their lives by discovering the cause of their body’s dysfunction. I do this through personalized integrative functional medicine, which includes nutritional, homeopathic, herbal, environmental, orthomolecular, anti-aging, holistic, functional, and preventive medicine.
I completed Residency training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. After residency I was a faculty Assistant Professor at the SIU Family Medicine Residency program where my duties included educating medical students, future family physicians, and seeing my own patients which included providing obstetric care for my patients for 15 years. Because my mother developed alzheimers disease and I had no traditional medical "tools" to help my own mom with this I decided I needed further education. I decided to pursue advanced fellowship training in functional anti-aging medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine to learn the skills needed to evaluate and treat patients holistically. I am board certified in functional anti-aging medicine through the A4M. I stay up-to-date in alternative care therapies and procedures, and I offer a variety of functional, hormonal, emotional, and cosmetic medicine services to my patients in all age groups from infants to senior citizens. I am dedicated to introduce new treatments and modalities into my practice when I feel they will provide you with better alternatives to traditional medical practices.
