 Has has been fortunate to study with master teacher Arkady Shirin as his primary teacher since 2005. He regards Arkady as the guiding force that influences all of his training and his approach to yoga and a healthy lifestyle.  Matty has also had a long term interest in Chinese medicine, first studying acupuncture in China during medical school.  After that, he completed a medical acupuncture for physicians certification.  This lead him to pursue a doctorate in medical qigong with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson and at the end of a three-year program was awarded a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Matty also studied taiqi and bagua with Dr. Johnson for three years.
