Eric McMillan, MD, ABAARM
Description
Dr. McMillan began his medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. There, his hard work earned him election to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and ultimately, acceptance to a very competitive orthopedic surgery residency. After completing 5 years of orthopedic training and another 1 year of fellowship training, Dr. McMillan moved to Turlock, California to start his orthopedic practice.
Life was good and 1 year of orthopedic practice turned into 3, then 10, and then 15. Like most us, Dr. McMillan found himself working hard, managing day to day issues like getting the kids to sports practice, helping get dinner on the table, and so forth - feeling more tired, gaining more weight, and feeling less healthy year by year.
Frustrated with his declining health, Dr. McMillan began lo look to his own field - medicine - for a solution, but the tools to fix these problems just weren’t there in the training he’d received. After looking around and opening his mind, Dr. McMillan began a postgraduate fellowship in anti-aging medicine. This program, associated with the University of South Florida and George Washington University medical schools, helps physicians from a variety of backgrounds understand and implement complementary and alternative medicine treatments that are supported by high-quality research. This fellowship program typically takes 1 to 2 years to complete and incorporates board certification by the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. McMillan continues to help patients with their orthopedic issues but now dedicates an increasing part of his time to helping patients return to the vitality and health they enjoyed in their prime of life through Renewal Medical Clinic.
