Dr. Annette Fornos, MD, FAAMM, IFMCP, ABAARM
Dr. Annette Fornos is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Functional Medicine, with over 15 years of experience. She earned her Functional Medicine certifications through both the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). In addition, she completed the A4M Fellowship in Metabolic, Nutritional, and Functional Medicine (formerly Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine).
Dr. Fornos also holds advanced certifications in bioidentical hormone therapy, IV and chelation therapy, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), and longevity medicine.
She previously served as faculty at the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine at Nova Southeastern University, where she specialized in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). She later worked at and was volunteer faculty at the University of Miami Osher Center for Integrative Health.
Dr. Fornos is the founder and medical director of Amrit MD Integrative Medicine in Doral, Florida, where she offers a personalized, root-cause approach to care that supports the body’s innate ability to heal and thrive.
She is fully licensed in the state of Florida and offers both in-person and telehealth consultations.
