Dr. Yelena Davydova, DO, IFMCP, is a Functional Medicine physician and Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner who provides personalized telehealth care to patients in New York and Florida. Based in South Florida, she helps patients identify and address the underlying factors contributing to chronic symptoms, metabolic dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, digestive concerns, low energy, and changes associated with aging.
Dr. Davydova earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training at South Nassau Communities Hospital. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and achieved certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2020. Her medical background allows her to combine conventional diagnostic knowledge with Functional Medicine, lifestyle medicine, and osteopathic principles to create a comprehensive and highly individualized approach to care.
Before establishing her online Functional Medicine practice, Dr. Davydova gained extensive clinical experience in primary care and urgent care settings throughout New York City and Long Island. Working with patients from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and medical backgrounds helped her recognize the limitations of a symptom-focused model, particularly for individuals living with persistent, complex, or seemingly unrelated health concerns. This experience inspired her to develop a practice centered on understanding why symptoms are occurring and how different systems of the body may be connected.
Rather than viewing each symptom or laboratory abnormality in isolation, Dr. Davydova evaluates the whole clinical picture. She considers how nutrition, stress, sleep, physical activity, environmental exposures, genetics, relationships, medications, and medical history may influence gastrointestinal, hormonal, immune, metabolic, and neurologic function. Her evaluations may include detailed health histories, conventional laboratory testing, and advanced Functional Medicine testing when clinically appropriate.
Dr. Davydova has a particular interest in gastrointestinal health, hormonal balance, metabolic optimization, detoxification and biotransformation, energy, weight management, healthy aging, and longevity. She works with patients experiencing concerns such as irritable bowel syndrome, reflux, intestinal dysbiosis, constipation, chronic fatigue, brain fog, sleep disturbances, thyroid dysfunction, PMS, perimenopausal and menopausal changes, insulin resistance, weight-loss resistance, high cholesterol, autoimmune conditions, and chronic inflammation.
Her treatment plans are personalized and may incorporate therapeutic nutrition, movement, sleep optimization, stress management, targeted nutraceuticals, botanical therapies, supplements, and prescription medications when clinically indicated. Lifestyle medicine is an essential part of her approach because sustainable improvements in nutrition, sleep, movement, stress resilience, and daily habits can meaningfully influence long-term health outcomes.
Central to Dr. Davydova’s philosophy is a collaborative partnership between physician and patient. She takes time to listen, explain clinical patterns clearly, and help patients understand the factors influencing their health. Recommendations are tailored to each person’s symptoms, laboratory findings, lifestyle, preferences, and goals rather than based on a standardized protocol.
Through her online telehealth practice, Dr. Davydova offers comprehensive consultations and ongoing support to patients located in New York and Florida. Her goal is to help patients move beyond temporary symptom management, uncover modifiable root causes, and create a practical, sustainable path toward greater energy, metabolic health, resilience, and long-term well-being.
