Description

I am the Director and Founding Partner at MyFitStrip LLC (https://myfitstrip.com), working alongside our founder, the noted inventor and nitric oxide scientist, Shawn J. Green. Shawn's innovative work has led to new nitric oxide formulations such as Calroy Health's Vascanox and Berkeley Life's Professional Nitric Oxide Support, in addition to the Berkeley Test, which are saliva-based nitric oxide test strips. As Managing Director at Berkeley Life during the A4M, I played a key role in its launch and collaborated with Dr. Green to validate our formulations through various clinical studies. Dr. Green's central idea for the Berkeley Life formulation involved encapsulating the bioactive nitrates found in green vegetables. This approach aimed to deliver a therapeutic dose of nitric oxide to lower blood pressure and enhance endothelial function, a finding we confirmed in placebo-controlled, IRB-approved studies. The latest innovation from MyFitStrip is a prebiotic nitric oxide gum. This gum enhances the oral microbiome by nourishing bacteria that convert inorganic nitrate (NO3), present in the gum, into nitrite (NO2) and subsequently into nitric oxide (NO). This process, which has shown potential to improve endothelial function in preclinical studies, will undergo formal validation in an IRB-approved trial set to commence in Q1 of 2024. We have submitted intellectual property applications for the gum, focusing on its potential to improve caries and periodontal disease. We have new nitric oxide gums, formulations and saliva test strips for white label to well established brands and private practices.

Over the past two decades, I have successfully introduced five FDA-approved medical diagnostic companies at the A4M World Congress in Las Vegas. Each company specializes in endothelial function and vascular diagnostics, aligning with A4M members' early recognition of endothelial function's clinical importance beyond blood pressure, a perspective often enlightened by Dr. Mark Houston’s case studies and teachings. These companies are Hypertension Diagnostics (CVProfilor), Omron Healthcare (HEM-9000AI), Itamar Medical (EndoPAT&WatchPAT), Endothelix (VENDYS), and Panasonic (CardioHealth Station).

Currently, as the Global Operations Director at Hypertension Diagnostics Research (https://hdresearch.us), I oversee the CVProfilor (CR-2000), a creation of esteemed cardiologist Dr. Jay Cohn, MD, FACC. I regard the CVProfilor as a leading tool in its field, given its foundation in over 900 clinical publications spanning 20 years, encompassing numerous extensive drug trials. It uniquely measures and categorizes systemic large arterial elasticity (C-1) and systemic microvascular conditions, factoring in gender and age for accurate assessment of normal, borderline, or abnormal values.
