Dr. Taz MD is a champion of superwomen, integrative health and wellness expert, innovative entrepreneur, and a leading holistic doctor in Atlanta. She is a board certified physician who gained national recognition with her best-selling books, “What Doctors Eat,” “The 21 Day Belly Fix,” and the breakthrough “Super Woman RX.” A leading holistic doctor in Atlanta, Dr. Taz cares deeply for her patients and strives to help them achieve holistic health.

In practice, Dr. Taz is passionate about the profound connection and synergy between women and children’s health and their ultimate impact on the health of the entire family. Her practice is dedicated to helping patients understand his or her core health issues and develop personalized treatment plans. She continues to train her team to think exhaustively about each patient, expanding their options for health and healthy living.

With an established agenda of improving women and children’s health, Dr. Taz expanded her reach through media in 2003. Since then, she has served as a medical expert for CNN Headline News, a Dr. Oz Sharecare expert, columnist and contributing editor for Prevention Magazine and has been featured on numerous media outlets, including TODAY, The Doctors, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America, The Weather Channel, EXTRA!, Live with Kelly and Michael and the Meredith Vieira Show. Dr. Taz has been featured in Atlanta’s Top Docs and voted numerous times as Best Atlanta Integrative Medicine Physician. She continues to have a strong media presence and desire to educate others about living a truly healthy life through her position as a well-known holistic doctor in Atlanta.

Dr. Taz MD is board-certified in Integrative Medicine—and a fellow of the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine led by Dr. Andrew Weil (completed the fellowship in 2008). A native Atlantan, she attended The Westminster Schools, Emory University, the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia. After completing her residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia in 2000, she received the Emily Gardner Award for Best Pediatric Resident. She currently serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Genexa, the Board of Directors for GLiMMER, an international organization led by Dr. David Katz, MD, which is dedicated to health and healthy living, and the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Protection & Potential. As a passionate advocate for child health and nutrition, she is a committee member for UNICEF’s Southeastern Speaker Committee, which exists to support UNICEF’s mission—to protect children’s rights and help meet their basic needs so they can reach their full potential.

When not caring for patients as their holistic doctor in Atlanta, Dr. Taz MD, can be found spending time with her husband and two young children, reading, studying, practicing yoga, trying new things in the kitchen and traveling.
