There is hope! Don't be afraid! Don't ever think the answer to your wholeness doesn't exist. You were created for a purpose and there are always answers, if you go to the right source.
My journey as a holistic primary care provider began as a patient, not in a medical classroom. In college, I found myself in need of medical treatment for a range of very unusual symptoms. Through my journey for wholeness and looking for a way to help others, I became a massage therapist. I did bodywork for five years and through that found myself becoming a doula and eventually went to nursing school. I thought I was to become a midwife, but I soon learned that I had a desire to to help the entire family, not just mothers. After becoming a nurse practitioner I continued to seek my own path of healing and use the information I found to help my patients.
I do not believe my job is to dictate care, but to walk into a healing journey with you. One of my patients graciously described me as “a facilitator, not a dictator”. I do not believe there is one path to health, but many ways based on where the patient is physically, mentally and spiritually. I combine the best of functional and allopathic medicine to find a treatment plan for patients that is designed uniquely for them.
I don't have a fear/shame based practiced that manipulates people into decisions they don't have peace about. My approach is simple. I listen, think, pray, plan, collaborate and do it all over again until the patient has achieved their health goals.
My office provides both primary care and functional medicine consultations. My most recent venture is in the realm of IV nutritional therapy and starting some integrative oncology.
