Stavan Bhatt, MS, MEd
Description
Stavan received his Bachelors in Biology/Chemistry in ‛94, Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology in ‛96, and Masters in Education with concentration in Health/Wellness degrees in ‛98 from the University of Louisville. He is also a current Part-time Faculty member in the School of Education and Health/Sports Studies Department at the University of Louisville since 1999. Stavan is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American College for the Advancement of Medicine, The Endocrine Society, and the Life Extension Foundation. Stavan was Board Certified by the American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals, a division of the American Academt of Anti-Aging Medicine in 2003.
He is the Director of Research/Development for the Integrative and Age-Management Medicine center (IAAM) with clinics in Ridgefield, Connecticut and Louisville, Kentucky. He has worked with Dr. Fishmans since IAAM's formation in April of 1997. In his past responsibilities, he was the lead exercise physiologist for Medical Weight Management in consulting obese and overweight patients on nutrition and exercise.
He has a special interest in exercise physiology, pharmacology, laboratory/diagnostics testing, nutriceutical supplementation, preventative medicine, and performance nutrition. Stavan has also been a top-level amateur bodybuilding National Physique Committee competitor having competed 8 times placing 2nd 4 different occasions. He will return back to the competition stage in November ‛12.
