Spyridon Barmpas, MD
Mr. Spyros Barbas born in 24.05.1972 in Germany graduated from Aristotelion University Medical School, in Thessaloniki in 1996, and hereafter completed his expertise in Internal Medicine at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens in 2005 . During his training in Internal Medicine, he specialized in the treatment of diabetes mellitus,(plus diabetic foot management), arterial hypertension and in the prevention of diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity and hyperlipidemia. As soon as he completed his practice in internal medicine, he started the elaboration of his doctorate at University of Athens, where he received special and in depth training in the metabolic syndrome.
Mr. Spyros Barbas cooperated with the SOS Doctors for more than six years and he handled incidents of emergency outhospital medicine. He is Chairman of the Hellenic Association of Emergency Outhospital Medicine, with participations in International or European medical congresses and with organizing conferences and workshops in Greece, related to the prevention and the effective treatment of diseases in primary care.He organized and directed the Internal Medicine clinic of the Praxiteles Group and until nowadays he cooperates with private clinics and Hospitals such as Athens Medical Center, Euroclinic, Bioclinic,Mitera etc. Since 2014, he is scientific collaborator of the ABH Medical Group, directing the Internal Medicine Department of the Centre and also launched his second medical private practice in Mykonos.
