Shelby Pope, DNP, APRN-CNP, is a family nurse practitioner and founder of Holiatry Health & Wellness, a functional and integrative medicine practice focused on identifying and addressing the underlying factors that influence health and quality of life. Her approach combines evidence-informed conventional medicine with functional medicine principles, emphasizing personalized care, prevention, lifestyle medicine, and meaningful, sustainable behavior change.
Shelby has advanced training in functional medicine and has completed extensive continuing education through the Institute for Functional Medicine, including Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and advanced training in cardiometabolic health, immune health, gastrointestinal health, and environmental medicine.
Her clinical interests include hormone and thyroid health, metabolic dysfunction and insulin resistance, weight management, gastrointestinal health, nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, and healthy aging. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or isolated laboratory values, Shelby works to understand how a patient's history, environment, nutrition, lifestyle, physiology, and goals intersect.
As a former military service member, wife, mother, and practice owner, Shelby understands the importance of creating healthcare that is both comprehensive and practical. Her goal is to help patients better understand their bodies, become active participants in their health, and build the foundations necessary not simply to feel better today, but to support long-term health and longevity.
