Description

Dr. Ruiying Wu received her MD degree from Zhejiang Medical University and spent nearly two decades at Argonne National Laboratory studying protein structure–function relationships, contributing to protein structure determination and research into the molecular mechanisms of biological function.

Building upon this scientific foundation, she expanded her work into systems-oriented health and adaptive physiology. She is an ABAAHP Diplomate and the developer of the Wu Integrative Systems Model (WISM™), a longitudinal systems framework for interpreting adaptive biological responses and supporting personalized health management across health, recovery, and chronic disease.

Her work advances Structure-informed Systems Medicine by integrating structural biology, systems biology, adaptive physiology, Functional & Integrative Medicine, and artificial intelligence to better understand health trajectories and support personalized health management.

Her professional interests include adaptive recovery, metabolic and endocrine health, immune dysregulation, chronic inflammation, oncology recovery support, longitudinal systems interpretation, and AI-assisted clinical decision support.

She believes that each patient represents not simply a diagnosis, but a living adaptive system whose health reflects continuous interactions across biological structure, function, and time.
