Dr. Ran Kim is a board-certified surgeon and diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, with specialized fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Kim completed his General Surgery training at Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Stanford University Hospital, and Nassau County Medical Center, followed by fellowship training at Lehigh Valley University Hospital in Allentown, PA.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, American College of Colon & Rectal Surgeons, ACCCMA, NCSCR, and NWSCRS, and has served as President of NCSCRS. Dr. Kim also held the position of Chairman of the Department of Surgery at John Muir Medical Center in Concord, CA. A recognized leader in advanced surgical techniques, he has trained surgeons nationwide in laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
