Dr. Dandillaya obtained his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of California at Irvine and his medical degree from George Washington University, Washington DC. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a Diplomate in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.For much of the past decade, Dr. Dandillaya has been in the private practice of cardiology in Beverly Hills, CA.
He is currently clinical chief of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a member of the Center of Excellence at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. Dr. Dandillaya was named Cardiologist of the Year by the Las Vegas chapter of the American Heart Association in 2017. He has also been the recipient of the Circle of Friends and Standing Ovation Awards from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Dandillaya is a thought leader within Cedars-Sinai and was selected to be part of the medical center’s Trendsetters group. He has provided consultation for leading clinical research organizations, including USC and LA BioMed. Dr. Dandillaya’s clinical research has included large clinical trials, such as his investigator role with the PARTNER study, involving percutaneous aortic valve technology. In 2014, Dr. Dandillaya was elected to the prestigious Pacific Council on International Policy.
