Thousands of medical clinicians gathered at The Diplomat Resort in Hollywood, FL for the 24th Annual Spring World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine on May 19-21, 2016. This groundbreaking conference and exhibition featured an outstanding agenda with preconference specialty workshops, two (2) prominent keynote presenters and approximately 65 nationally recognized healthcare experts from a variety of medical specialties.

Friday morning’s general session featured opening remarks given by A4M co-founders, President Ronald Klatz, MD, DO and Chairman Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP. A keynote presentation was given by Rob Knight, PhD of University of California, San Diego and co-founder of the American Gut Project. Dr. Knight lectured to a jam packed room on “How Microbes Define, Shape – and Might Even Heal Us”. Closing out the keynote presentations on Saturday was David Katz, MD, MPH, FACPM, FACP of Yale University speaking on “Nutrition – Basic Care & Feeding of Home Sapiens: Are We Truly Clueless. He received a three-minute standing ovation which infused the audience with much discussion and excitement afterwards.

The A4M’s World Congress’s continuing medical education (CME) event allows clinicians to choose from multiple afternoon break-out tracks that are based on different topics. Over the course of two days, the topics included the functional medicine approach to treating patients with gastrointestinal and immune dysfunction, lifestyle management, inflammation, stem cell therapy, hormone replacement therapy, metabolic syndrome, menopause, aesthetic treatments, and much more.

In addition to the high-level medical education offered over the course of this weekend, clinicians were able to visit over 220 vendors offering products and services from the anti-aging industry including supplements, nutraceuticals, aesthetic procedure companies, diagnostic laboratories, compounding pharmacies, practice management and marketing tools, medical products and devices, and much more. The exhibit hall was also home to the networking reception, the Rolex watch giveaway and other raffles offered.

A4M announced their keynote speakers for the 2016 Winter World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine scheduled for December 9-11 at the Venetian/Palazzo/Sands Resort in Las Vegas during the Spring Congress and will feature David Ludwig, MD, Leading Nutrition and Obesity Researcher and Physician; David Agus, MD, Pioneer in biomedical research and one of the world’s leading cancer doctors; and Michael Greger, MD, author and founder of NutritionFacts.org.
