The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) to present Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger with prestigious award

Gov. Schwarzenegger will receive the Infinity Award, the highest honor bestowed by the A4M at the 21st Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Aesthetic Medicine in Las Vegas, NV December 12-15, 2013

Boca Raton, FL (November 18, 2013)- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be presented with the 2013 Infinity Award, the highest honor of the Academy, by Dr. Robert Goldman, chairman of the A4M. Gov. Schwarzenegger is being recognized for his early leadership role in securing landmark funding in area of stem cell research. He championed the passage of California Proposition 71, the Stem Cell Research Initiative.  This Initiative directed $3 billion to stem cell research.  Additionally, this funding was instrumental with the creation of the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).  Schwarzenegger was also involved in the creation of the California Health Benefit Exchange.
His lifetime accomplishments include being a champion bodybuilder, Hollywood action hero, a successful businessman, environmentalist, philanthropist, best-selling author and California’s 38th governor. Schwarzenegger is also founder of the non-profit organization R20: Regions of Climate Action. Schwarzenegger has been a champion of promoting and supporting sports, health and fitness programs for America’s youth.  He was America’s most successful Chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports; Founder of the Inner City Games and After-School All-Stars, to give a venue for kids to engage in fitness activities after school hours; and a strong long-time supporter of freedom of healthcare, freedom of choice and the wide array of healthcare approaches in alternative, anti-aging, functional, sports medicine and nutritional medicine.

“A leader is supposed to see things for what they can be, not just accept things as they are.  By that measure, Governor Schwarzenegger showed great leadership on healthcare and so many other areas” stated A4M’s Marketing Director, Amy Paoletti.  “He is a large reason why healthcare reform is working in California and one of the reasons for being honored with the 2013 A4M Infinity Award”.

This conference, A4M’s largest event, to be held at the Venetian/Palazzo Hotel, will host over 3,000 International and domestic medical practitioners and our exhibition hall will host more than 250 exhibitors. The educational program is an AMA PRA Category 1 accredited educational activity worth a maximum of 28 CME credits.
