Today's episode on Redefining Medicine spotlights Christopher Campbell, MD. Dr Christopher Campbell is an Integrative Doctor in Newport Beach, CA. At Campbell Medical Center they are all about medical optimization of health and performance. What this means is, Campbell Medical Center optimizes one’s overall health and performance using the best scientific practices medicine has to offer. This is done by using cutting edge laboratory testing that only a relative handful of physicians in the world check. Labs addressing how the body is functioning at the cellular level. There is some truth to the saying “you are only as strong as you’re weakest link”. And by addressing the weaknesses at the cellular level we can make these weak links stronger, improving overall health and performance. Dr Campbell is Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and continues to be active in A4M fellowships. With over 27 years of medical training. Dr Campbell completed his undergrad training at Alfred University and graduated summa cum laude. Dr Campbell has always had a “holistic approach” to medicine, believing that the body as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And so, having been accepted by both MD and DO medical schools. It was the holistic “hands on” philosophy that led Dr Campbell to chose to attend the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was president of his class. Dr Campbell did his family practice residency in Portland Oregon. Upon completing his residency, he joined the USAF. While in the Air Force he was trained in Aerospace Medicine and became Chief of Flight Surgery at Edwards Air Force Base. He was assigned to the 416th squadron, which is an F-16 squadron and flew regularly. Additional training and certifications while in the Air Force included Hyperbaric Medicine and Allergy Medicine. After leaving the Air Force, Dr Campbell went into private practice in Northern California, where he raised his family. It was during this time he became interested in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and became a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M).
