Melissa is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience. She has maintained a dedicated focus on internal and functional medicine over the past five years that centers on longevity, disease prevention, and metabolic health through personalized, root-cause approaches.
She completed her clinical training at the University of Kansas Internal Medicine Clinic in Wichita, KS, where she gained extensive experience in managing complex chronic conditions. Melissa earned the Remission of Type 2 Diabetes and Reversal of Insulin Resistance Certificate from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and integrates evidence-based lifestyle and nutritional interventions into her care. Comprehensive Care of Kansas is a pilot site for the Lifestyle Empowerment Approach for Diabetes Remission (LEADR) Program.
As a board-certified HIV Specialist, Melissa also provides inclusive, affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community. She is passionate about helping patients extend both their lifespan and healthspan—empowering them to take control of their health, optimize function, and thrive at every stage of life.
