Kimberly Shapkin, RN, ANP, MSN
Kimberly has worked extensively with people as they age, with a goal for people to live stronger and better lives through health optimization. Kimberly practices through an integrative health lens and uses a systems approach, enabling her to work towards getting at the root cause of a person’s health concerns. She recognizes each person’s health journey is unique and tailors care to address a person’s physical, mental and functional goals.
Kimberly is a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. She has completed a master’s degree from the University of British Columbia and a subsequent Post-Masters Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Alberta. Kimberly is a PhD Candidate in the Doctoral Nursing program at the University of Victoria with a research focus on decision-making for people living with memory loss and other brain changes. In addition, Kimberly is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and is currently working towards completing the A4M/MMI Advanced Metabolic Endocrinology Certificate. The combination of her formal education and clinical practice has enabled Kimberly to develop a niche in brain health and hormone therapy.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Kimberly has advanced education and training to assess, diagnose, treat, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, make referrals to other healthcare professionals, and manage the health and care of people who need it most. Kimberly will see people over the age of 18 years.
