Kenneth Storch, MD, PhD

Kenneth J. Storch, MD, PhD currently serves as Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Metabolic & Functional Medicine (formerly Storch Nutritional Medicine Associates) in Florham Park, New Jersey. Dr. Storch has held previous positions including Medical Director of the Metabolic Medicine Department of Overlook Hospital, and President of the American Board of Nutrition Specialists. Dr. Storch is also an assistant professor of medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York.

Dr. Storch earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and then received his medical degree at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. He completed his doctorate in nutritional biochemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Dr. Storch completed his Internal Medicine Residency at The Staten Island University Hospital, and his Nutrition and Cancer Fellowship at the Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Dr. Storch is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Nutrition.

Dr. Storch is a fellow of the American College of Nutrition, a member of the American College of Physicians and the Obesity Society, and regional & national leader in therapeutic Medical Nutrition: actively caring for outpatients at the center, and inpatients at teaching hospitals.

Dr. Storch has been a principle investigator & co-investigator in several key clinical trials, and an invited presenter at numerous national and international medical conferences. Dr. Storch also served as a NASA Medical Nutrition Expert at Johnson Space Center.

As author and co-author, Dr. Storch’s work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and book chapters, including the International Journal of Obesity and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

With decades of experience in nutrition & metabolics, and a more recent discovery of Functional Medicine, Dr. Storch is uniquely qualified to help his patients reach optimal & sustainable levels of health & vitality.
