Ken Anderson, MD, FAACS

Ken Anderson, MD, FAACS, FISHRS, is an internationally recognized hair restoration surgeon who has specialized exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of hair loss since 2003. He is fellowship-trained and board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta, Georgia, where he treats patients from throughout the United States and around the world.

Dr. Anderson has been at the forefront of modern hair restoration for more than two decades. In 2004, he performed the first complete follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant procedure published in the worldwide medical literature, helping document a technique that would ultimately transform the field of hair transplant surgery.

He serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine and an Associate Clinical Professor of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He lectures nationally and internationally on hair loss, hair restoration surgery, and emerging medical and regenerative therapies for the hair follicle.

Dr. Anderson is a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also the founder of the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery and has personally trained more than 60 physicians in hair restoration techniques.

His clinical interests include the biology of hair loss and aging, medical and regenerative therapies, photobiomodulation, platelet-rich plasma therapies, emerging peptide and cellular approaches, and advanced surgical hair restoration.
