Description

  Dr. June Stevens ND, graduated with High Honors and received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004. She further enhanced her training by completing her family practice residency, with an emphasis in cardiology and women’s health, at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also holds a Master Degree in Metabolic Nutrition from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Southern Maine. In addition, Dr. Stevens advanced her field of study by completing an Advanced Fellowship Program in the area of Anti aging and Functional Medicine in 2012. She served as a board member for the American Heart Association and is most proud to say, served her country for 23 years in the United States Navy before retiring as a Commander (having served during Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom) in 2013.

  As a speaker, Dr. Stevens travels throughout the United States and Canada lecturing at medical conferences, symposiums and community organizations on topics related to Integrative and Naturopathic Medicine. As an author, Dr. Stevens was a contributing author to the cardiovascular health sections of the book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing 4th Ed. Currently; she is in the process of completing the first book in her “Naturopathic Wisdom Series.”

   As an educator, Dr. Stevens lectures semi-annually at the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine and as Adjunct Professor, she taught Cardiology and Clinical Nutrition at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Committed to education and enhancing the profession of Naturopathic medicine, Dr. Stevens continues to serves as a mentor and preceptor for medical students and resident physicians in her private practice in Redding CA.

   As a researcher, Dr. Stevens is the principle investigator for an ongoing cardiovascular research project at the NOR CAL Natural Medicine Center in Redding CA. Dr. Stevens takes cardiovascular health to a higher level, paving the way for future treatment models. Her current research is evaluating the short and long term effects of implementing plant based nutrition, lifestyle modification, and antioxidant therapy on reversing endothelial dysfunction (determined via EnodPAT 2000 non invasive, in-office testing), thus preventing and reversing cardiovascular disease without the use of pharmaceutical drug therapies.

  As a doctor, Dr. Stevens was the founder and medical director of the Naturopathic Heart Institute of Tucson and more recently is the founder and medical director of NOR CAL Natural Medicine in Redding CA. Committed to excellence in clinical practice, she focuses on cardiology, women’s and men’s health. When formulating personalized treatment plan she utilizes such treatment modalities as: Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy, Botanical Medicine/Herbs, Clinical Nutrition (Food Sensitivity Testing), Chelation Therapy, Detoxification Programs, Homeopathy, Injection and IV Therapy, Physical Manipulation and as needed, Prescription Medications. Dr. Stevens combines her expertise in cardiovascular and critical care experience with Naturopathic Medicine and offers a unique perspective blending the very best of both naturopathic and conventional treatments. Dr. Steven’s goals are to empower patients on their quest toward optimal health and wellness as well, to put the “health” back in healthcare. She strives to enhance, expand and supplement our country’s current medical model of healthcare.
