Julia Mirer, MD

Dr. Julia Mirer is a pioneering voice in the realm of psychedelic medicine, leveraging her background as a former physician to champion education and advocacy in this transformative field. Initially immersed in pediatric medicine, Dr. Mirer identified a critical absence of holistic care approaches and preventative strategies, prompting her departure from conventional Western medicine in pursuit of alternative health methodologies.

Since 2019, Dr. Mirer has been an influential figure in the burgeoning psychedelic ecosystem, assuming pivotal roles in advisory and consulting capacities in areas ranging from early-stage funds, psychedelic research, and organizations dedicated to policy reform. Notably, she actively participated as one of the overseeing physicians in a groundbreaking study employing psilocybin for treating major depression, a pivotal moment in advancing understanding and acceptance of psychedelic-assisted therapies. Dr. Mirer served as a Director of Strategy for a NY based ketamine clinic where she witnessed the evolution of this nascent field, and in her current role at NeuroPain Health she is able to both inform the clinic and support the patients based on years of experience.

Acknowledging the limitations of the existing mental health care system underscored by the emergence of psychedelic therapies, Dr. Mirer now advocates for a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western practices, envisioning a novel paradigm for integrative health strategies, and empowers healthcare practitioners in implementing progressive approaches within their practices through her coaching.

As an ardent speaker, educator, strategy consultant, and coach, Dr. Julia Mirer epitomizes dedication to reshaping healthcare paradigms, bridging knowledge gaps, and spearheading a transformative movement toward comprehensive and integrative wellness practices.
