Jorge Pelaez, MD, FAARM, ABAARM

   I wanted to be a physician since I can remember. I suffered seizures as a kid and my father died of brain cancer when I was a teenager in Argentina. Those painful situations in my life where also the drive to become a neurologist, with the ultimate goal of preventing neurological conditions and caring for people with neurological disorders.

    I graduated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I came to the USA, where I trained at Dana Farber (Harvard Medical School), Univ. of Wisconsin Madison, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

   I became board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Sleep Medicine. I became the chairman of the Neurology department at the Medical Center Clinic, in Pensacola, FL, where I practiced for 17 years. I also became a clinical professor at Florida State University.

  The current healthcare system was neither providing the tools nor the answers to provide the best care for my patients. The frustration imposed by a system where the patient was no longer the center and my passioin to prevent diseases and to heal people, led me to train in antiaging, functional, and wellness medicine and I became certified and a fellow at the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine and I obtained the certification through the Cenegenics Foundation.

   I am currently practicing at the Florida Health and Wellness Institute, in Pensacola FL. We  provide state of the art medical care where the patient is always the center and where our mission is to empower individuals to achieve health and happiness.
