Jennie Walker, MD
Jennie Walker, MD is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and founder of Functional Medicine Healing Center in Mammoth Lakes, California. After more than 20 years treating acute illness, she opened her functional medicine practice in 2018 to address what conventional care often misses: the root causes behind chronic skin conditions, gut dysfunction, and fatigue, particularly in women.
Her clinical focus is the gut-skin connection, the relationship between intestinal permeability, immune activation, and chronic conditions including eczema, rosacea, acne, chronic hives, and psoriasis. Dr. Walker completed her functional medicine training through the Kresser Institute's ADAPT Practitioner Training Program. She is an IFM Certified Practitioner and a Root Cause Dermatology Certified Practitioner. She is licensed in California and Oregon currently.
She continues to practice emergency medicine, work that keeps her grounded in what conventional care does well, and where it falls short.
