As a young boy, Jeff Lawson began learning pharmacy skills at Milner Rushing alongside his pharmacist father, John, who quickly put him to work in the family business. In those early years, Jeff developed a deep love for helping patients and for the pharmacy business, especially compounding. Milner Rushing, the oldest pharmacy in the state of Alabama, has always compounded medications for patients, and Jeff decided shortly after he completed pharmacy school to make it his specialty. Jeff now has over two decades of compounding experience and always enjoys a new challenge. For the last decade, hormone replacement therapy has been a dominant focus for Jeff. He has extensive experience and training in Bioidentical Hormone replacement therapy for men and women. Lately, that focus has broadened to include overall patient wellness, and the prevention of diseases associated with aging which Jeff views as “the most rewarding and exciting part of his career so far.” Jeff earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy in 1997 and currently serves as a Diplomate in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is also completing an extensive fellowship in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine. Jeff serves as the President of Milner Rushing Drugs, but he continues to use his knowledge of wellness and compounding on a daily basis as he consults with patients about their overall health.
