Jamie Kyei-Frimpong, DNP, FNP-C, IFMCP

Dr. Jamie Kyei-Frimpong is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and certified Functional Medicine provider through the Institute for Functional Medicine. She holds degrees from Columbia University and Duke University, where she earned her doctorate in nursing. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, she blends evidence-based care with a personalized, whole-body approach to help patients uncover the root causes of imbalance and restore lasting wellness.

Dr. Jamie is the founder of Monarch Way, a virtual functional medicine practice serving patients in Colorado and across several states. She specializes in gut health, hormone optimization, detoxification, nervous system regulation, and mindset work—integrating science with deeper healing to support the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Patients receive advanced diagnostic testing, individualized protocols, and ongoing support designed to meet them where they are and guide them toward sustainable wellness.

Her work is deeply informed by her own healing journey. A former competitive marathon and ultrarunner, Dr. Jamie faced a personal health crash driven by gut dysbiosis, hormone dysfunction, mold toxicity, and burnout. Through the lens of functional medicine and nervous system repair, she rebuilt her health and her strength. Today, she brings that same passion to her current pursuit as a competitive powerlifter, holding a Colorado state record and qualifying for Nationals.

Outside of clinical care, Dr. Jamie is a certified Reiki Master, yoga teacher, and spiritual life coach. She is also trained in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy through Naropa University and MAPS. Her mission is to help others reconnect with their bodies, reclaim their energy, and remember that wellness is within.
