James Ryan, PhD

James Ryan, PhD is a Clinical Research Scientist focused on diagnostic tools and therapies for chronic inflammation initiated by a wide variety of biotoxins, such as Lyme disease, ciguatera fish poisoning, sick building syndrome and others. Dr. Ryan is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, and holds Bachelor’s degrees in biology, chemistry and physics. He is a co-founder in the medical diagnostics company Progene DX, LLC: which uses cutting-edge genomic technologies to identify pathophysiology in a personalized medicine setting. Dr. Ryan’s recent investigation into Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) has led to the development of a gene expression assay that is currently being commercialized in order to track metabolic shifts in patients with chronic fatiguing illnesses.
