Israel Vega, APRN, DNP, FNP-BC, FAARFM, ABAAHP

Israel Vega is the founder of VHC Family Health & Night Clinic. Mr. Vega specializes in family medicine and bio-identical hormone replacement.

He is well-known in the community for providing excellent, detailed patient care. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, which is a huge asset in the predominantly Hispanic community of San Benito. Israel Vega, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has served the lower Rio Grande Valley for over 18 years. A proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, Israel grew up in Los Fresnos and presently resides in Harlingen, Texas.

He serves his patients at VHC  Family Health & Night Clinic at 1795 W US Hwy 77, San Benito, Texas. A former Adjunct Faculty member for the Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi NP program, Israel currently serves as a clinical preceptor for DNP and NP students in the Rio Grande Valley.

Israel is a classic car enthusiast and, in his spare time, enjoys the company of other avid collectors. You can also catch him serving up aces at the local tennis courts. He devotes much time to volunteering for local causes that help RGV residents. Mr. Vega received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas–Brownsville. He pursued his Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M Corpus Christi while working as a registered nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He earned his Doctorate Degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Israel has garnered a "5 stars" rating from a nationally accredited EHR that reflected over 500 patient surveys.

Mr. Vega is humbled and very thankful to his patients for voting him "Best Family Practice NP" in 2014 and 2024. He looks forward to serving the RGV's new and familiar faces in his clinic.
