Dr. Hasan Abdallah, Director and founder of the Children’s Heart Institute is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology.

Dr. Abdallah is also board certified in Autonomic Disorders by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. Dr. Abdallah directs the Children’s Autonomic Clinic in Northern Virginia that treats yearly around 8,000 children and adults with POTS, and Autonomic disorders from then US and all over the world.

The CHI Autonomic Clinic provides comprehensive autonomic testing, including Tilt Table Testing, VALSALVA MANEUVER(VM) that provides autonomic analyses of non-postural and Postural arterial blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) changes during breathing activity to evaluate Adrenergic and Cholinergic functions, in addition the lab performs QSART testing and skin biopsy. In addition the Lab works in conjunction with full time autonomic flow cytometry laboratory directed by autoimmune pathologist to study potential autoimmune mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).

Dr. Abdallah designed the rehabilitation, Taming POTS program and is very active in autonomic research and is world renowned in Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome. Dr. Abdallah current research work is on the Immune Basis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, He has presented his last work on the World Congress on Autoimmunity in Switzerland.

Education

Dr. Abdallah did his college Education at Open Shaw Technical College, Manchester, United Kingdom and finished his medical school from the University of Jordan and completed his Pediatric residency training from University of Florida and his pediatric Cardiology training from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Dr. Abdallah is board certified in Pediatrics, and Pediatric Cardiology. He is also in addition board certified in Autonomic Disorders from the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
