Gina Besteman, R.Ph. is the Director of Midwest Operations at Women’s International Pharmacy/Belmar Pharma Solutions. In this role, Gina oversees sterile and nonsterile pharmacy operations at four 503a pharmacies and herself holds 20 state pharmacist licenses.
Gina is active in many state and national pharmacy organizations and is a current APC (Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding) Board Member representing District VI. She argued the importance of compounding before the NASEM (National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine) committee during their analysis of the FDA funded compounded BHRT study in 2019 and participated in the USP (United States Pharmacopeia) hearing during an appeals process for the unofficial USP Chapter <795> in 2020 that was responsible for remanding the initial proposed version back to committee for further review. Gina has also been involved in coalitions to remand the MOU back to FDA and is active politically where she has formed strong relationships with her elected officials, two of whom have sponsored and signed multiple pro-compounding bills.
