Elizabeth Rose - Johnson, BSc (Hons), MBBS

Dr. Elizabeth Rose Johnson is a physician with more than 26 years of clinical experience, with a focus on medical weight management, metabolic health, longevity and advanced aesthetics. A graduate of The University of the West Indies, she began her career in family medicine, where her years of clinical practice developed into a strong interest in prevention and in understanding the metabolic, hormonal and lifestyle factors that influence health, weight and the aging process.

As Founder and Medical Director of Medical Weight Loss and Aesthetics Jamaica, Dr. Rose Johnson has helped hundreds of patients achieve meaningful, sustainable weight loss while improving their overall health and wellbeing. She has extensive expertise and experience in the use of GLP-1-based medications as part of individualized medical weight-management programs, using these therapies not only to support weight loss but also to improve metabolic health and assist in the management of chronic diseases associated with obesity and metabolic dysfunction. Her approach integrates medical therapy with nutrition, body composition assessment, muscle preservation, physical activity and practical lifestyle strategies.

She has a particular interest in insulin resistance, metabolic dysfunction and the physiological changes that occur during midlife, perimenopause and menopause. Her approach looks beyond the number on the scale, with an emphasis on identifying and addressing the underlying factors that can affect weight, energy, body composition and long-term health.

Dr. Rose Johnson also has extensive training in advanced aesthetic and regenerative techniques. Her aesthetic philosophy focuses on refined, natural-looking results that enhance rather than alter, with an emphasis on skin quality, rejuvenation and graceful aging.
