Dr. Noha Shalaby (RPh, PhD) is a proud compounding pharmacist & entrepreneur. In 2012, Shalaby became the first licenced compounding pharmacist in the United Arab Emirates. Since then, she built the foundations of modern personalised pharmaceutical compounding in the Middle East, and served thousands of patients coming from around 20 countries worldwide. Travelling around the globe to learn about the different areas of pharmaceutical compounding, Shalaby was recognised for her efforts by international compounding bodies, and was invited to speak about her experiences in the emerging markets in the USA in 2018.

To Shalaby, pharmaceutical compounding is a personal mission. She believes it is the most elite profession within the practice of pharmacy. It is in her firm beliefs that pharmaceutical compounding, with its modern tools and techniques, can change people’s lives for good. Soon after becoming a licenced compounding pharmacist, Shalaby became involved in the 1st A4M event in Dubai, and was keen to build relations with like-minded health professionals coming from around the globe.

Shalaby is the founder of Sweet Treat Pharmacy & Compounding Lab. Sweet Treat was established in the Philippines in 2018 to serve patients across Asia Pacific with the utmost standards of pharmaceutical compounding. With dedication and perseverance, Sweet Treat had kick-started its operations in Cairo, Egypt during COVID times to serve patients in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. She believes that with passion, dedication and hard work, dreams can come true.

During her free time, she enjoys cooking different cuisines from around the globe, sharing recipes with family and friends.
