I am board certified in family medicine. I have a doctoral degree in osteopathic medicine. I'm Fellowship trained in Anti-Aging Functional and Regenerative Medicine and have a Master's degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida as well as an undergraduate degree in psychology.
After 15 years as a licensed physician I realized that the modern (western) medicine is great at treating injuries and ailments, but that it doesnt place great emphasis on preventative and holistic medicine. When I decided to be a doctor I did so because I wanted to help people lead better lives. I realized that in order to be a true healer at the highest level I needed to place a premium on the preventative aspect of medicine.
I returned to school where I spent several additional years of high-level training in oder to become certified in the pioneering field of Anti-Aging Functional and Regenerative medicine. This field encompasses integrative medicine, hormone replacement therapy, sophisticated nutritional and genetic testing, sleep hygiene, and other regenerative modalities.
I continue to practice conventional medicine in every sense. I continue to heal by treating illness and injuries, however, I also believe in helping my patients to avoid common health related ailments that negatively impact the quality of their life. Illness and age-related ailments were once thought to be an inevitable part of life but not anymore. Emerging science and technology is radically reshaping this misconception.
