Certification program.
September 24–25, 2027

$1,800 accredited certification · 2 days

They got it from a med-spa, a telehealth subscription, or a friend's leftover pen — and now they're in your exam room asking about dosing, side effects, plateaus, and what happens when they stop. This certification is built for that conversation.
Ten years ago, weight-management training meant nutrition counseling and, for a small number of patients, a referral to bariatric surgery. That landscape is gone. Pharmacotherapy now works well enough — and is prescribed widely enough — that most primary care and specialty clinicians are already managing patients on GLP-1 or GIP therapy, whether or not they intended to specialize in obesity medicine.
The first oral GLP-1 for weight management was approved in April, taken once daily with no food or water restrictions. And negotiated pricing brought monthly costs to a fraction of what they were — including $245 per month for Medicare and Medicaid. The patients who couldn't afford these drugs last year can afford them now, and they are not all coming through obesity clinics.
It's clinical judgment: who's actually a good candidate, how to titrate safely, how to manage GI side effects and lean-mass loss, when a plateau means switching therapies versus staying the course, and how to build a real maintenance plan for patients who eventually come off the drug.
Those are exactly the decisions this program is built to sharpen, for clinicians who are done improvising.
Fast stats
4 in 10
U.S. adults live with obesity — 40.3%, per CDC's most recent national survey data.
Off label
Prescribing and monitoring gaps around weight-loss medications are drawing closer scrutiny from payers and licensing boards.
No consensus
Discontinuation and maintenance protocols still vary widely between practices — this program gives you a defensible standard.
46%
Prevalence among adults age 40–59, the highest of any age group and the core of most primary care panels.
2027
The year GLP-1 literacy stops being optional for primary care.
2 days
To leave practice-ready — not just credentialed on paper.
Why attend
This isn't a survey course. Every session is built around a decision you'll need to make in practice — not just a concept to recognize on a test.
Evaluate a patient for GLP-1 or GIP candidacy
Work through the labs, history-taking, and risk screening you need before any prescribing conversation starts.
Titrate and manage side effects with confidence
Move from general dosing principles to a specific plan — managing GI side effects and lean-mass loss as you go.
Know when to switch therapies versus stay the course
Read a plateau correctly, and know what to offer when the current therapy isn't the answer.
Build a real maintenance plan
Set a follow-up rhythm and a defensible discontinuation plan for patients who eventually come off the drug.
Who should attend
Every seat is filled by someone treating the same patients you are, from a practice that looks something like yours.
Building GLP-1 candidacy and titration into an existing practice without adding chaos to your schedule.
Sharpening prescribing confidence and knowing exactly when to escalate a case.
Grounding an existing wellness practice in weight-management protocols that hold up to scrutiny.
Getting a real foundation instead of piecing one together from webinars.
