Cannabinoid Medicine:
Latest Guidance and Clinical Application

Delivering Sustained Wellness

On Demand

Medical marijuana has a demonstrated ability to deliver numerous benefits within clinical practice. Through both direct and indirect actions, endocannabinoids are able to modulate and influence a variety of physiological systems integral to whole-body health. Further, in recent years the number of U.S. states which legally permit medical marijuana has jumped to 36—with that number expected to grow quickly.

The purpose of this one day workshop is to review the fundamental and therapeutic use of medicinal cannabis as well as the current regulatory landscape. Learners will review the use of cannabis and CBD in a variety of clinical syndromes such as cancer, pain, and much more.

objectives

  • Review the chemical composition of phytocannabinoids and their receptor system.
  • Review dosing, kinetics, and drugs interactions of cannabinoids
  • Synthesize the latest clinical guidelines and regulatory landscape of medicinal cannabis.
  • Outline the immunomodulatory effects of cannabinoids and adoption in cancer treatment.
