Dr. Bhavna Vaidya-Tank is a board certified family physician that has been serving the communities in Eastern North Carolina for the past ten years. She opened the Family Wellness Clinic to create an environment that emphasizes wellness and preventative care with a focus on patient outcomes. Prior to moving to North Carolina, Dr. Tank received a full academic scholarship to attend Kasturba Medical College where she graduated with honors before completing her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During her residency she earned the Patient Advocate and Patient Care Award for engendering a focus on wellness that included alternative treatments for pain management, lifestyle and behavioral modifications such as smoking cessation programs and weight loss programs. She carries this passion for patient-centric care within her practice.
Dr. Tank has conducted research and worked extensively with partnering research laboratories to provide cardiovascular disease (CVD) management tools with a distinctive focus on preventative and ongoing therapeutic monitoring of patient health. She also volunteers extensively with BAPS Charities to offer health care and screening to underserved communities.
Dr. Tank and her husband are the proud parents of their son and daughter and enjoy family evening show times. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and practicing yoga.
