I grew up in the heart of Idaho, surrounded by wide open spaces, strong family values, and the hardworking spirit of a western, agricultural lifestyle. Life in a small town taught me the importance of community and self-reliance—but it also showed me how rural areas are often underserved when it comes to healthcare.

My journey into medicine began during one of the most difficult times in my life—when my brother suffered a traumatic accident. I stepped into the role of caregiver, navigating a complex healthcare system that often felt cold, reactive, and fragmented. Through that experience, I realized that we weren’t truly helping people heal—we were just managing symptoms. That moment became a turning point for me.

Determined to make a difference, I became a registered nurse, and eventually a family nurse practitioner. I knew I wanted to offer something better: compassionate, comprehensive, and preventative care that met people where they are—especially those in small, rural communities like the one I call home.

That vision became Out West Family Medicine. My practice is built on the belief that healthcare should be accessible, personalized, and empowering. I offer flexible scheduling and cash-based services to eliminate the barriers of traditional insurance-based systems. My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based medicine with a whole-person perspective—focusing not just on treating illness, but on promoting lifelong wellness.
