Ashley Harwyn, PA-C, ABAAHP

Ashley Harwyn, PA-C, ABAAHP, is the founder and owner of Solcara Health, a concierge functional medicine, hormone optimization, and longevity-focused medical practice serving patients throughout South Carolina, with primary locations in Mount Pleasant and downtown Charleston.

Ashley earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating with honors in 2013. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners (ABAAHP) through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and has more than a decade of clinical experience caring for women and men across a broad range of health concerns.

Her clinical expertise includes functional medicine, women’s and men’s hormone health, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), perimenopause and menopause care, metabolic health, medical weight management, peptide therapy, thyroid and gut health, sexual wellness, healthy aging, and personalized preventive care. Ashley has cared for thousands of patients seeking a deeper understanding of symptoms such as fatigue, hormonal changes, weight and metabolic challenges, thyroid dysfunction, changes in libido and sexual function, and other concerns that can significantly affect quality of life.

Women’s and men’s sexual health are also important areas of Ashley’s clinical focus. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and has extensive experience addressing concerns related to hormonal changes, perimenopause, menopause, libido, vaginal health, erectile dysfunction, testosterone management, and sexual wellness. Ashley is also a Licensed and Certified O-Shot® and P-Shot® Provider and has received advanced training from Dr. Charles Runels, creator of these regenerative sexual wellness procedures.

In addition to functional and longevity medicine, Ashley has extensive experience in medical aesthetics and advanced laser-based treatments. Her aesthetic expertise includes facial rejuvenation, neuromodulator treatments such as Botox®, Xeomin®, and Dysport®, dermal fillers, regenerative aesthetic therapies, skin rejuvenation, laser procedures, hair restoration, and treatments designed to support both skin health and natural-looking results. Her approach to aesthetics reflects the same philosophy she brings to medicine: personalized treatment, thoughtful assessment, and helping patients feel their best while maintaining natural, individualized results.

Earlier in her career, Ashley worked in a variety of clinical environments, including family medicine and women’s and men’s health. She also provided care to underserved communities in the United States and abroad. These experiences helped shape her belief that meaningful healthcare begins with listening, understanding the whole person, and taking the time to look beyond symptoms alone.

Ashley founded Solcara Health after experiencing her own health challenges and witnessing firsthand the limitations patients can encounter within a traditional healthcare model. She envisioned a different approach to medicine, one centered around longer and more meaningful patient visits, comprehensive laboratory evaluation, evidence-informed treatment, ongoing monitoring, education, and highly individualized care.

At Solcara Health, Ashley integrates functional medicine with hormone and metabolic health, longevity-focused care, medical weight management, peptide therapy, concierge primary care, sexual wellness, and medical aesthetics. Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or laboratory value, her goal is to understand the factors contributing to how a patient feels and develop a practical, personalized plan based on that individual’s biology, lifestyle, health history, and long-term goals.

Ashley cares for patients from Mount Pleasant, Charleston, the South Carolina Lowcountry, and communities throughout South Carolina who are seeking a more proactive and personalized approach to their health. She is passionate about helping patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their care while building long-term relationships focused on improving health, vitality, and quality of life.

Ashley’s perspective on healthcare has also been shaped by years of living, working, and traveling throughout the world. Before settling in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, she lived in Maui, Hawaii, and her global experiences continue to influence the warmth, curiosity, openness, and personal connection she brings to medicine.

Today, Ashley leads Solcara Health while continuing to advance a more personal, proactive, and patient-centered model of healthcare that brings together functional medicine, hormone optimization, sexual health, longevity medicine, metabolic health, and advanced aesthetic care.
